В 1992 году Ли создал собственное издательство комиксов – WildStorm Productions, ставшее одним из соучредителей Image Comics. Там он начал выпускать популярную серию "Дикие К.О.Т.ы" (WildC.A.T.S) и создал немало новых персонажей, таких, к примеру, как команда "Ген-13" (Gen13). Он также помог отыскать и обучить множество сценаристов и художников. Бизнес шел в гору, но руководство WildStorm Productions отнимало слишком много сил, и вскоре Ли обнаружил, что ему не хватает времени на само рисование. В итоге он решил продать свою компанию DC Comics. Он продолжает оставаться главным редактором WildStorm, но теперь отдает все силы своей первой любви – искусству.
